Posso pensare ad una sola parola ma non alla frase intera

(I can only think about one single word but not at the whole sentence)
Visconti Palace of the Innominato, Brignano Gera d’Adda

"Posso pensare ad una sola parola ma non alla frase intera" is a contemporary exhibition project that was born with the intent to transform and connect. The sentence that titles the exhibition is by William James, translated from his personal consideration of human consciousness. He compares it to a group of 12 people, each of whom has knowledge and mastery of only one of these words; the quote acquires a complete meaning thanks to the presence of each of these words. Likewise, human identity is a consequence of several encounters with other identity contexts. For this exhibition 18 artists created their works through a personal exploration of the proposed theme; each intervention aims to accompany each visitor to question their relationship with themselves. The Palazzo Visconti, an enchanting stately home, which inspired the historical Manzonian figure of the “Innominato” (Unnamed), welcomed and stimulated a more concrete form to the arguments of their journey.
